1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Planning Wiser, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.

You must be at least 18 years old to use this service.

2. Description of Service

Planning Wiser is a personal budgeting and financial planning tool that helps you assign every dollar a purpose, track goals, and manage your wealth.

Important: Planning Wiser is not a financial advisor. The service is for informational purposes only and should not be considered financial advice.

3. Account Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • One account per person

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to:

  • Use the service only for personal financial planning
  • Not attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or disrupt the service
  • Not use the service for illegal purposes
  • Not share your account with others

5. Bank Connection

The bank connection feature is optional and allows you to sync transaction data via a third-party provider (Plaid).

  • You authorize read-only access to your transaction data
  • We are not responsible for third-party provider outages or errors
  • You can disconnect your accounts at any time

6. Subscription & Billing

  • Free trial: 14 days, no credit card required
  • Pro plan: $9/month or $79/year
  • Billing is recurring until cancelled
  • Cancel anytime — access continues until end of billing period
  • No refunds for partial months or years

7. Cancellation & Termination

  • You can cancel your subscription anytime in settings
  • You can delete your account anytime
  • We may terminate accounts that violate these terms
  • Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days

8. Intellectual Property

  • Planning Wiser owns all rights to the service, design, and branding
  • You retain ownership of your personal financial data
  • You grant us a license to use your data only to provide the service

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

  • No guarantee of accuracy of financial calculations
  • Not a substitute for professional financial advice
  • Not responsible for decisions made based on the app

10. Limitation of Liability

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Total liability is limited to the amount paid in the past 12 months
  • Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
